Don’t fight the sun. Move with it.
The Mediterranean day is not fought against — it is navigated. You wake to golden light and move outside immediately, walking or swimming or sitting in the air until midday when heat climbs higher. Then you retreat to shade for hours while the world does heavy labor: concrete baking under your feet, skin burning if exposed too long.
Your afternoon walk happens after two or three PM — when temperatures drop and light softens to gray gold. You move at a slow pace, thirty minutes, forty. No phone in hand. Just you and the sea or the hillside or whatever quiet corner has space for your body.
This is not exercise. This is recovery from the morning heat. This is how your body learns that daylight is safe, that sun exposure belongs to the day, not fought at night.
