Sunday-night dread is not about Monday. It is about the wall you built for yourself — every task, call, and errand shoved into the first morning of the week.

You start behind, then spend five days chasing.

Not here. In the Mediterranean, the week does not open with a sprint. It opens the way a fishing village opens: slow, warm, unhurried. No one treats Monday as a wall to climb.

One Habit: The Soft Monday

Take the last half hour of Friday and lay out the week. Spread the heavy work across five days instead of piling it on one.

Ease into the morning. Skip the early meeting you do not need. Plan one small thing to look forward to — coffee on the terrace, a walk at dusk.

Why It Works

The dread lives in the pile-up, not the day. Monday was never the problem. The wall was. Soften the start and you stop bracing, stop surviving, and start living the week.

This is not a trick for Mondays. It is a refusal to treat your life as something to get through.
